Remarks. — The largest of the Madagascar species of the genus, body length 19 – 22 mm, wingspan 61 – 66 mm (Signoret 1860; specimens in hand). A primarily castaneous species sparingly marked with piceous with a contrasting greenish costal margin. Distribution. — The species is known from Madagascar and Mauritius (Metcalf 1963 b; Sanborn 2013). Karsch (1890) and Jacobi (1917) reported the species from central Madagascar.
