Nelcyndanini Marshall & Moulds, 2018 (in Marshall et al. 2018 b): 33. Remarks. — The tribe was erected recently based on a five gene phylogenetic tree to based on a deep origin within the Cicadettinae for the genus Nelcyndana Distant, 1906 (Marshall et al. 2018 b). The upper pygofer lobe is small and superimposed over the unornamented basal pygofer lobe and is unique to the Nelcyndanini along with the divided uncus that has migrated to the lateral extremities of abdominal segment 10 to appear that they are accessories to the claspers (Marshall et al. 2018 b).
