Distribution and natural history. Specimens were collected during the day under grass in shrub forest 2 – 6 m from a 5 – 7 m wide stream. The shrub forest had been burned within the previous five years. This is the first report of the species in Laos, although the type locality at Muong Nhe, Dien Bien Province, Vietnam is very near to the border of Laos, and so it was expected there (Le et al. 2015). Elsewhere the species is known from Thuan Chau, Son Lao Province, Vietnam, and Doi Lahnga, Chiang Rai Province, Thailand (Le et al. 2015; Fig. 2).
