Symphony of Horizon
The Alderman Islands are part of the eroded lava domes of the Minden Rhyolites, part of the Miocene to Pleistocene Whitianga Group (Skinner 1986) and are considered to be Pliocene or lower Pleistocene in age (Latter 1985, pers. comm.).
